Brian is a partner in the firm's Pasadena office. He was born in Houston, Texas, on September 30, 1955, and graduated from Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, New York in 1973. In 1976 Brian received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University, graduating in three years with majors in Political Science and Psychology, and having completed an interdisciplinary honors program in Social Thought and Institutions. In 1979, Brian graduated from Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley, where he was Managing Editor of the Industrial Relations Law Journal (now the Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law).

Brian's primary areas of practice are labor and employment law, employee benefits, real estate (transactional and litigation), and business litigation. Since being admitted to practice law in 1979, Brian has tried many cases before the state and federal trial courts, both jury and non-jury, and has argued before the California Court of Appeals and the Ninth Circuit. Brian also has handled many matters before the United States Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, among other governmental agencies. Brian has been practicing with the firm and its predecessors since 1980.
