Emily Zung Manninger is an associate in the firm's Pasadena
office. Her practice focuses on business and employment litigation,
corporate matters (including forming and maintaining the
tax-exempt status of nonprofit organizations), and land use
and environmental law. She litigates in both the state and
federal courts, and represents clients in mediation and binding
arbitration. Her clients include multi-employer pension funds,
various government agencies, real estate developers, nonprofit
corporations, and privately held businesses.
Ms. Manninger also has particular expertise with, and regularly
litigates, matters arising under the Employee Retirement
and Income Security Act (ERISA). In addition, while Ms. Manninger
represents clients on a range of land use issues, she is
especially proficient in matters involving the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). She works with clients
to plan, document, and ensure CEQA compliance. She negotiates
on behalf of and represents clients before government agencies.
Ms. Manninger received her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola
Law School, Los Angeles, and earned her Bachelor of Arts
degree in Literatures in English from the University of California,
San Diego, with minors in Economics and Literatures in Spanish.
She is licensed to practice law in California in all state
courts, and in the Central and Southern Districts of the
United States District Court. She is also licensed to practice
law in Nevada.
Ms. Manninger is an active member of the Women Lawyers Association
of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the
Pasadena Bar Association, and the University of California,
San Diego Alumni Association.
