Michael A. Urban is a partner in the law firm. He practices law in the firm's offices in Bellevue, Washington; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Pasadena, California. Michael was born on October 7, 1955, in Hawthorne, California. He graduated in 1973 from Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, California. In 1977, Michael graduated with honors from California State University at Long Beach and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Major in History. Michael graduated Cum Laude with a Juris Doctor Degree from Whittier College School of Law in 1980. He received American Jurisprudence awards for excellence in Labor Law and Estate and Gift Taxation, was a member of the Whittier College School of Law Moot Court Honors Board from 1977-1980, and managing Editor of the Whittier Law Review from 1979-1980. His article entitled "The Antitrust Exemption for Labor Organizations in the Construction Industry-Application of the 8(e) Proviso After Connell Construction Co v. Plumbers & Steamfitters, Local 100," was published in Volume 2, Number 2 of the Whittier Law Review in 1980.

Michael's primary areas of practice are labor law, employee benefits, real estate (transactional and litigation) and business representation and litigation. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1980 and has since been admitted to the State Bar of Nevada (1989) and Washington (1990). Michael has presented cases for trial in California, Nevada and Washington in jury and non-jury cases. He has also appeared before the United States Court of Appeals from the Ninth Circuit and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.

Michael has been practicing with the law firm since 1980. He is married with three daughters.
