Laquer, Urban, Clifford & Hodge, LLP negotiates and
documents commercial purchase and sale agreements and related
due diligence requirements. Along with providing services
related to leasing, sale and leaseback agreements, and
unlawful detainers, we represent clients across a range
of land use concerns, including zoning and entitlement
matters, conditional use permits, variances and lot line
adjustments.
Clients include commercial, industrial and residential
developers; mobile home parks; property managers and owners;
private businesses and individuals; nonprofits; and multi-employer
trust funds.
Our firm's extensive real estate expertise includes:
- Multi-employer pension funds — Advising
boards of trustees of several of the country's largest
Taft-Hartley funds on issues such as lending, investing,
developing, land use and leasing. Often, these same clients
turn to our firm for operational support, such as negotiating
leases or issuing unlawful detainers.
- Renewable energy — Supporting clients
in issues such as determining optimum land use for renewable
energy projects, negotiating agreements for renewable
energy installations on client property and capturing
the value of renewable energy tax credits.
- Religious institutions and land use — Counseling
nonprofit organizations and religious institutions on
zoning issues, building permits and negotiations with
government agencies, as well as land use issues related
to nonprofits and religious institutions, such as the
Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act
of 2000 (RLUIPA).
